I love this guy lots!!! So much that I'd break my blogging vow just to write about him.
To others, he might seem like any other idol with a pretty face. An idol for females; and probably a minority of guys (no pun intended). To me however, he reflects the perfections of what a human can actually achieve. First, I'll start of with his physical properties, as if it's not obvious enough...
Yes, I admit. I was first attracted by his looks. I mean, LOOK AT THIS GUY. Have you ever seen an idol with near to perfect features? I love drawing so I am pretty judgemental on how a person looks like. Personally, I was only interested in anime and manga characters which had the bishounen (pretty boy) look. My thoughts at that time were "Ah, no human can have such wonderful looks". General public, sad to say, tend to stereotype Japanese men as the pretty-boys sub-species of their kind. No doubt there are girly looking ones but none I've seen so far appeared to me to have flawless features.Until I saw this guy.
What I am able to see in his features are the soft but clear lines outlining his eyes.Perfect. His lovely shaped lips (makes you jealous just looking at them).Perfect. A manly and alluring jawline. Perfect again. His sharp and delicate nose. Can't expect more than that. Beautiful beautiful beautiful eyes. No, really. Try looking into his eyes for a few seconds and you'll find yourself drawn deeper and deeper into it. Flawless skin ( no guy should have such delicate skin!!!!!!!). And his ears...his ears are...normal! ^^". His piercing on the left ear DOES compliment his sexy look. He isn't perfect. Definitely not. However, he's quite near that bar. ^^
And then there's his personality.
Our friend here ( he's not a friend obviously but I just wanted to use that phrase). So, yea..our friend here is actually quite popular in Japan. Wait, the term "quite" is an understatement. He is VERY popular in Japan. His peak was probably at the age of 21-22 years old. Alone, on a solo debut, he sold more than 600,000 copies of his single in 10 days!!! Try beating that!
Though now, other idols have rised in the popularity rank through drug-abuse, random flings and the American dream (again, no pun intended), this guy has stayed popular nonetheless. Needless to say, he has a very strong following. AND, ladies and gentlemen (haha, just felt like saying it) this lovely idol is slowly but surely taking over the hearts of girls ....and boys, maybe...all OVER the WORLD! He was ranked the no.1 most popular Japanese idol in Korea. There are fans from Malaysia (me included), Singapore, Thailand, Philipines, Indonesia, Germany, US, UK, Russia, and a whole line-up of middle eastern countries like ....like.... well I can't really name them cos I didnt know about them till some fans declared they were his fans from U***kistan, for example. Even the Africans know about this guy. Like, how can so many people in the world know ONE guy? Unless you're the American president, or you're in the Most-Wanted terrorist list. Ah, it seems that I've strayed out of topic. Ahem. What I wanted to say was, this guy is EPICLY popular... but I got carried away in the middle...
Anyway, yes, back on track. Despite his EPIC popularity, he is a humble man. This is where people will go "Ah, you don't know him, your just saying that cos you have a biased view". To this, my answer is...YES my opinion does tend to weight more at one end. However, through blogs and reports by wonderful, sharing and caring people, I've got to know "our friend" a little more. All reports...and I mean ALL reports, speak of his humility. Truth is, our friend is a shy guy so he doesn't talk much when meeting strangers. Still, he'll smile politely when smiled at. He'll shake a hand when approached. He'll speak when spoken to. He doesn't do the I'm-an-idol-so-buzz-off acts. He constantly reminds us of how much he appreciates us and how we are the reason he is where he is now. *Uwah...I'm going to cry* ...Right....
I need to stop talking about his personality cos this post might have no end to it. To cut it short, this guy is kind, caring and loves his family a lot. I'm sure he has been doing naughty naughty stuff but that's his private life, of which I do not wish to intrude.
I'm not saying he's perfect...erm...no,hold on, YES I'm saying he is perfect. But to my eyes only.
He's neither the best actor I've seen nor the best singer I've come across (I am so diplomatic). He dances well, in case you people are wondering. He has his downsides. He tends to fall for the wrong girls and likes to mumble his words.
But that's what makes him Yamapi. The Yamapi I will be supporting and *fangirling* for as long as I am able to. Frankly speaking, I don't need to explain why I love this guy. I actually don't know for sure why I'm so fascinated by him. I guess I just wanted to express myselft...maybe that's what blogging is all about. Expressing oneself OUT IN THE OPEN~.
So, yea..this is the end of this post.
ps: many many many people have blogged about him. I'm just one of the amatuers out of a gazillion fans doing this. >.<
